Do you own the laptop or does your work own it?

You are able to deduct the laptop and tablet based on the periods in the Wear and Tear calculator. If each item is worth less than R7000 then you can deduct the whole expense. However you must retain proof of the purchase as well as some proof of you having to use the items for work purposes.

Thank you, and one last thing, what is the source code that I put on the submission when I claim for the laptop and tablet?

Under the Other Deductions section you will insert the amount you calculated next to "depreciation"
