I got IRP5 certificate but it has no Income tax number, does that mean I'm not registered with SARS?

No, your employer may just not have had it. You can call 0800 00 7277 in order to check.

Even in my payslip it does not show and that what makes me think I might not be registered. Does SARS branches open on Saturday?

Some branches yes, but it would be quicker to call and check.
