Eric says: 8 September 2015 at 9:12 I am a personal fitness trainer. Can I register for turnover tax. |
TaxTim says: 8 September 2015 at 15:50 If more than 20% of a person's receipts for the year consist of income from rendering of a "professional service", then that person cannot register his/her business for turnover tax. The list of "professional services" is set out in the Tax Act and consists of amongst others, a service in the field of health and sport. Since personal training would fall into this field, unfortunately your business would not qualify to be registered for turnover tax. |
