How to claim tax deduction on frail care for Alzheimers patients

My mother in law is resident in a frail care facility because she suffers from Alzheimers and cannot look after herself. I have heard that there is a possibility that this could be claimed against her tax. How do we go about this?

You need to apply to SARS to have her declared impaired and then you can claim all her medical expenses as a deduction.
