How much tax rebate does an employer get if he's paying 50% of medical aid for his employees?



Say a company has 100 employees and the employer turnover is over R20 million per annum, if employer is planning to contribute 50% in medical aid and retirement fund to his employees, how much of a tax deduction does the employer get?

The employer will get a full deduction for any staff related costs which can be used to offset again the company income.

All employee expenses paid for by the employer if part of their cost to company are deductible for tax purposes.
