How much must you earn to qualify for a tax return?

In order to pay tax you would have to have earned above the threshold of R63 356 for the 2013 tax year. In order to check if you are due a refund, please try our Tax refund calculator to get an indication of any possible refund. This is not guaranteed though and it depends on your circumstances.
