How do I file my tax return for the first time?

I haven't done a tax return before but I was registered by my employer. Ho do I go about doing my returns and what penalties should I expect? Can you help in this situation and what will it cost if you can?

When is the first time you are due to file a return? The tax year runs from 1 March - 28/29 February for each year. You can use TaxTim to complete your return by having a simple chat with Tim and then he helps you file your return with SARS. Just register on www,taxtim.com and go through the steps with Tim. If this is the first time you are filing then there won't be any penalties. TaxTim costs between R119 and R199 depending on when you pay.
