How can I claim house hold expenses portion if allowed to work from home?

In reference to claiming house hold expenses as my employment contracted stated I could work from home as well if needed. I do not have an ITR12 form, only an IRP5/IT3(a) form. If I do not have an ITR12 form, does this mean I cannot claim this?

The ITR12 is the actual tax return you need to complete with SARS which you can do via TaxTim. The IRP5 is just the summary of your payslips. You can claim the Home Office Expense.

Okay great to know. I unfortunately dont have access to all my household expenses right now and am trying to get my tax return sent off today before its too late.
Will SARS either give me an extension to send the house hold expenses in next week, or can I include them in with my previous years tax return (unfortunately I am a few years behind on submitting my tax returns).

Unfortunately there are no extensions, but if you submit Monday you should be ok from a penalty.
