I am considering freelancing for a UK based company. I need to know how I would go about informing SARS etc. What are the laws regarding this situation?

Will you be moving to the UK? And if so, for how long?

No, I would still be living in South Africa, and Working full time, But I am getting Married next year and need to save up. At the Freelance job, I would be earning £15p/h and there is no set number of hours. It depends on if they have a project that requires my skills.

South African tax residents pay tax in South Africa on their worldwide income. You would therefore need to declare this income in your Tax Return and pay tax on it in South Africa. You can net off any business related expenses incurred in generating this income.

Depending on your level of earnings, you may need to register as a provisional taxpayer too.
