Hi Tim,

I have submitted my tax return through SARS eFiling in the first week of July and was asked for supporting documents which I then took to SARS and my SARS eFiling reflected that they had been received, I heard nothing from SARS and then got a letter in early august saying ive been selected for audit. I heard nothing again and called SARS about 3 weeks back and was told my car value was lower than the estimated value and they require proof of purchase (which I originally gave them) I told them I have already done so but I still sent it again. My SARS eFiling status has now changed to "correction filed".... Does this mean that my audit is nearing an end or should I put that holiday off a few more months :-( thanks in advance..... You guys are saviors.

This means that your documents have been captured and is in the verification process. The next step will be for you to receive a "completion letter" which will indicate whether an adjustment has been made or not to your assessment. Your refund will then be processed soon thereafter.
Hopefully, this process doesn't take too long :)
You can always call SARS on 0800 007 277 to follow up reasons for further delays.
Below is some more information on refund delays.
Why haven't I received my tax refund yet?
