If I make a capital gain do I need to register as a provisional taxpayer?

Please check our questions on Am I a Provisional taxpayer?

You will only be a provisional taxpayer if you earn income from running your own business or taxable income which is greater than R30,000 per year from rent, foreign dividends and interest. A capital gain resulting from a disposal of an asset in a year, will not mean that you become a provisional taxpayer.
