Does a temporary employee pay tax and why? How much must I earn for me to pay tax?

If you earn more than R70 700 between 1 March 2014 and 28 February 2015 then you will have to pay tax. However if you are temporary, your employer may have taken off tax for you already to pay over to SARS. Look at your IRP5 if you have one for PAYE deducted.
