On the question of medical expenditure I answered YES plus the amount. On the return Tim filled in NO and no amount. Also on Tims questions on retirement annuity I filled in YES plus the amount, and on the return tim filled in nothing, this had a bad effect on my return, how do we correct it?
Hi DMAN, I'm sorry that you had trouble with the questions. I see that you answered Yes to "Do you have any medical expenditure at all, including medical aid?" and then for the next question you answered No. It is that question, "Did you or your employer contribute toward a medical aid for your benefit?" that fills the first checkbox of the Medical section - perhaps this is why you are lost and thought we had made a mistake? If you would like to change your answer to the question, simply click the green arrow to go back and change the required answer. Your retirement annuity amount is visible within the Retirement section - were you perhaps looking in another section for it? I hope this helps, do let me know if you have any further difficulties.

On the medical question, I do not have medical aid and my employer did not contribute to any of my expences, thats why I answered NO. On the retirement question, when I filled the actual return it didn't show there. I only saw this after filing. Why was it not transferred to the actual return on eFiling? Can the return be re-submitted with these details? I am losing out on a fair bit of money.

The eFiling return and the return produced by Tim are different and not linked as SARS will not allow us to file on your behalf. So we provide a return for you to just copy the values across. Perhaps that's why the amount didn't appear, we cannot automatically transfer these amounts across to eFiling.
If you want to change the return then on eFiling you can click 'Request correction' and make the changes.
