Detailed medical accounts - what does SARS accept?

I have hospital accounts with receipts (fully paid) and intend to claim a deduction from SARS with my 2014 tax return, however the hospital accounts ((Mediclinic), only state ward stock, theatre stock and dispensary stock. These items were either for medication or materials given/used. I would like to know if these accounts are adequate with this info or must each and every item used be specified for me to claim a tax rebate?

SARS will accept the hospital account, without all the added details. However you must send through proof of payment as well to show that these costs were covered by yourself and not the medical aid.
