I was selected for audit. I have been waiting for more than 21 days now. I received a letter yesterday in my SARS eFiling profile - completion letter what is going to happen now.

Did your assessment remain the same or did you receive a second assessment?

It came back as reduced assessment, they asked for supporting documents again.I submitted them on the 22 October.

Since you have received two assessments, it would be best to request a Statement of Account so that you can see your final balance due/payable to SARS.

Since you have received a Completion Letter, assuming you are due a refund, it should be paid out in the next few days. If its not received in a couple of days, you could always call SARS to follow up on 0800 007 277. If you have any outstanding tax returns from prior years, this would delay payment until these are filed.

If you owe SARS money, you should make payment by the date stipulated in the second assessment.
