Provide a reason why there will be no Capital Gains Tax consequences on the receipt of R50 000 as a donation be.

Donations tax is payable by the donor and not the recipient. The first R100,000 of donations per year is exempt from donations tax. Please read our blog on Donations Tax for further clarification. Donations don't attract Capital Gains Tax.
