CAPITAL GAINS; My broker issued an itc3 showing a capital gain of R955 000 for the last tax year.Else where on the tax report is shown a sum of R120 000 being portfolio management fees. Can I deduct some or all of this fee as part of the base cost in calculating GCT?

Do you actively trade shares or does the broker do everything in the view of capital growth?

This is a passive, investment account with broker doing the necessary trades. We are not categorised as traders.

You can deduct the portfolio fees from the capital gain then as this is part of the cost of selling.
