Can I claim travel expenses if I haven't kept a logbook?

I haven't kept a precise logbook for the year, may i still claim travel expenses as a deduction?

If you haven't kept a detailed logbook you won't be able to claim expenses against a travel allowance. If you have records and enter in the amounts and SARS requests supporting documentation you need to be able to prove to them that your figures are accurate otherwise they won't accept it so be careful with the records you do have.
