I have been working for almost two month and my employer has been deducting PAYE Tax, is it safe to register for a tax number after 3/6 months of working, because I hardly find time to go to the closest SARS for registration?

Yes, you should apply for a tax reference number. Your employer will need it in order to remain compliant with their own PAYE tax filings and you will need it in order to submit a Tax Return.

However, check with your employer first as they might have requested one for you already.

If not, process to follow is below.
