Awesome service - well done on this easy to follow and easy to understand website!

I have completed my tax return on the 2nd of July. I then received an IT34 Assessment which stated that my tax will be verified. I submitted the Medical aid and Retirement Annuity tax certificates as support documentation since these were the only ones I received. In my tax return my IRP5's was already logged - I did not receive any other ones I only have the three in total and they were on my form already. After submitting the certificates I noticed a mistake on my form and requested for an resubmission. I again received an letter immediately after that stating that I should again upload the documents. This I did on the 4th of July. In my e-filing profile it states that assessment has been received under my e-filling status. I have received the IT34 notice, still no refund?

It is the 13th of July today, I am just wondering how long this takes?

Thank you for the words of encouragement!

SARS can take 21 working days to finalise an audit especially when you have requested a correction. Did you not submit your IRP5's as well?

I did not send in any IRP5's since I did not receive any from my employers - they were all logged in my tax return already when I filled it out, meaning SARS already had this on their system.

Should I be concerned about it?

Let us know if SARS issue any assessments which change your refund and then we can assist. Otherwise it should not be a problem.
