Tax on overtime?

Do I not get taxed more on overtime than I would on my basic salary? Is there a way to work this out? I hear you get taxed more on overtime than your basic salary. How do you work this out?

You will be taxed on your total income regardless of the source of it. So Overtime is added to your salary and then you are taxed on the total. You can make use of our SARS income tax calculator to work out what your total tax would be.
