If a company pays medical aid on behalf of an employee, what are the tax implications on both the employer and employee?

The employer will have a tax deduction as normal payroll costs whilst the employee will be taxed on the portion that is provided to them. They will be allowed a tax credit subject to the Medical Tax Credits Calculator
