Tax number for person who died

My father in-law died in 2006. All I want is his tax number.

You can call SARS on 0800 007 277 and explain the situation and hopefully they can help you.
Alternatively, are you able to retrieve any documents from the executor of his estate which may have the tax number printed on them?
