I am a Casual worker earning less than R24 000 a year a 25% tax is taken from my salary every month. Am I supposed to be taxed?

If you are working more than 22 hours a month then yes they must take off 25%, however the employer can be a little more relaxed. If they do deduct the 25% then you can claim this for tax purposes - so they need to give you an IRP5 and you will submit this to SARS and get all that money back.
