If you did not work for the entire tax year, it is likely that you have overpaid tax. This is because tax is calculated by grossing up your monthly earnings to an annual amount and then calculating tax accordingly using the tax tables. If you have overpaid tax then it will be refunded by SARS when you submit your tax return.
