I am looking at going to teach in Abu Dhabi but I really don't understand how the taxes work while I am overseas. I don't know when if ever I will tax return other than for a holiday. Please assist me in this as I don't know what to do with regard to planning. Thank you

If you are not tax returning then you will not pay tax on the income earned in Abu Dhabi. Do you have any assets in SA?

I have a Stanlib account and my mom is still here so when she passes the estate with be split between my sibling and I.

If you are not planning to emigrate officially or give up your residency then you will not pay tax on the income earned overseas, but perhaps on the income from the Stanlib account if you earn over the threshold.
