SARS supporting docs - Home Office Expenses?

I have a client who needs to submit supporting docs for income received from the employer while working at home. A SARS rep mentioned it needs to be submitted in standard calculation format. What is this format?

He should have received an IRP5 from the employer, did he get this?

Thanks for the response TaxTim, yes an IRP5 has been received and filed. An additional amount was declared separately under home office expense. SARS requests a supporting document from the employer in a particular format. What is this format?

There is no particular format, but you would need to send them the employment contract showing that your client can work from home. You would also need to send them a spreadsheet of how you worked out the home office expenditure and the apportionment between the size of the house and the dedicated office and the related expenses as well as proof of those expenses.
