Primary residence deemed disposal

If I sell my primary residence on the 31 Dec (which I stayed in for 5 years), but have already moved out on 30 Sep (same year) to a new (right of use) residence. Would my time of disposal of my "first primary residence" be the 31 Dec or the 30 Sep?

You would need to apportion it for the last few months when it was not used as a primary residence.
