No income but do submit tax?

Still looking for a job at the moment - been nearly five years of almost no income, beside family welfare, do I still submit tax forms somehow?

No you do not need to submit tax returns, if you do they would be nil returns showing that you did not work. In that way you will be up to date with SARS for when you do start working again.
