Medical Tax Credit

I Would like to know if there is any way I can get my medical aid tax credit monthly if my employer don't deduct my medical Aid? I changed jobs and my previous employer used to deduct my medical aid and I received the tax credit monthly with my salary. I now feel conned as I have to wait a whole year to receive this money. We are 5 people on the medical aid - so yes is quite a bit of money

You can ask your current employer to take the premium off your salary and pay it over and then deduct the credit from the PAYE paid even though you pay it yourself.

Thanks Tim.

I Have asked them before and the HR lady said that her system can't do this. I think she is just lazy as this will make her do more recons or something. Will ask her again

They can do this, but it does interfere in theirs systems so the chances are highly unlikely. Unfortunately there is nothing more you can really do as they will not reduce the PAYE unless there is good reason.
