Medical deductions, what are we allowed to deduct?



What is the definition for 'qualifying out-of-pocket' medical expenses ? So, what qualifies ?

Only amounts spent on prescribed medication from a doctor or similar health care professional or costs directly related to registered medical professionals or out patient costs at a hospital.
