How do I calculate my hourly rate if my salary is R15000 p. Month before deduction

You would divide the R15 000 by the number of hours you work in a month depending on your contract. This means that if your salary slip says that you worked 8 hours a day and 5 days a week, you need to times 8x5 and then times the 40 by the number of weeks you worked and then take the R15000 and divide it by the final amount you got to.  Kindly note that some payslips have the hourly rate listed on them, check if it's showing on your payslip too. Should the calculation above not help in your case, you can also check your employment contract, as this is usually listed on there too.  If for some reason you are not able to get this amount from any of these sources it would be best to rather speak to your employer / payrolls officer / HR officer or your direct line manager.
