How to measure kms

I dont have a travel allowance and use my private car for work. My company does reimburse me for work related travel. Question is from where do my km's get measured as some days I drive straight to site from my house and not via office. How does the calculation look and lastly how much should they pay me per km?

It should be technically the km distance from office to site. Home to Site is excluded.

My question is when I am not going to the office on a particular day, but I drive straight to our building site from where does one measure one's km's in order to claim back and at what rate per km does one claim from you employer?

You are never able to claim the km from Home to Office if you are a salaried individual. So regardless of driving directly from your home to the site you would need to deduct the actual km that would be from home to work. Your employer needs to determine what rate they allow you to claim, this is usually a company policy.
