How to claim for Vehicle Expenses as an Estate Agent

I am an estate agent where I sell property and I am purely on commission only. No basic salary. I do know that I can claim for my petrol for business purposes. And I am also aware that I need to have a logbook for proof of mileage. However, on my IRP5 I cannot seem to enter the Petrol, Wear and Tear, Oil, Maintanance and Repairs, Insurance etc etc. Please help me as to how I can include that in my ITR12 form.

Your IRP5 will just show the commission earned and not the actual expenses so that must not be altered. You would need to include your actual expenses in the Tax Deductions section on TaxTim (Other Deductions section on SARS eFiling) and show exactly what the expenditure was. There is another section where you can include Repairs and Insurance costs too, a question for Travel which would be the cost of petrol, and then Depreciation which is where you would take the value of your vehicle and divide it by 5 for depreciation (see this link). Remember though that all these costs would need to be apportioned by the percentage of business vs personal travel you do.
