How much tax should I be paying?

I want to know how much tax I am supposed to be paying on a salary of R34000.00 per month. This month I received a bonus and PAYE tax was almost double what I usually pay. Please assist me here.

Please make use of our SARS income tax calculator to work out the monthly PAYE.

Your bonus would have been added to your income and therefore multiplied by 12 to determine the annual income on that amount and then the tax calculated on that hence the large tax for the month, you may be entitled to a refund next year when you file a return.
