How do I know whether I am getting money back or paying?

I submitted my tax form and on my notice of assessment it shows "Net amount refundable under this assessment after allowable credits" as R-0.03 however when I request a statement of account it shows a refund amount of R-3111.86. I am very confused - am I getting R3111.86 or 3 cents?

Was the Notice of Assessment a revised assessment or the first one? If your statement of account shows a refund amount then this is what will be paid out as long as you have no outstanding returns for prior years.
