Changed jobs and used current IRP5 to file for tax

Hi. I changed jobs last year having worked in the other job until August and started the new job in September, which means I have 2 IRP5 forms. But when I filed for tax the assistant only used the form from the new employer. Is that correct? Does that not give a flawed assessment of the tax returns? Aren't they supposed to enter information from both IRP5 forms? Its puzzling especially when the job change impacted my PAYE significantly.

Yes, the information from both IRP5s need to be included in your tax return.
You can "file for correction" and resubmit your Tax Return including the correct data.

Many thanks for the information. Can I file for correction on eFiling or I will have to do it at a SARS station? Is the process a difficult one? Thanks lots.

You can do it on SARS eFiling. You need to go to your Tax Return history and navigate to the Tax Return that you filed. You will see a tab called "Request Correction". You then need to submit the entire Tax Return again (not just the corrected part).

No, it should not be a difficult process.
