Can't acquire IRP5 from previous employer before emigration

My previous employer liquidated on 12 February this year and the liquidation hasn't been completed yet. I am scheduled to move to work in Dubai in mid April and I am wondering what would be the best solution to file my tax returns for the 2016 tax year?

Just in case I am unable to acquire the liquidators details before I leave for Dubai? Or what can I do if the liquidator does not send me the IRP5?

Are you formally emigrating?

Well it's more a 3 year non binding contract that I will be on. So I will come back to SA after my contract is done.

If you do not receive your IRP5 by then you will still need to file a tax return with SARS, however you have until the end of November to do so. You can otherwise enter the income and PAYE earned and paid from your final payslip.
