As a freelancer, can I use my Uber receipts as mileage for work?

If you are self-employed, you can claim all business travel expenses and therefore uber receipts would qualify.

You can claim this within the "Local Business Trade and Professional Income" section of your tax return. There is a block for local travel expenses. Just make sure you keep the emails/bank statements showing the cost as proof in case SARS asks for support.
