Are some tax payers exempt from completing a tax return in South Africa?

Are some tax payers exempt from completing a tax return in South Africa?

Second question: What is the current tax threshold which I understand as not having to pay tax if you earn less than the tax threshold, correct?

For the 2014 tax year the threshold is R67 111 and for the 2013 tax year the threshold is R63 556.

Yes those taxpayers who earn less than R250 000 and only have one employer and no deductions or other income or expenses need not submit a tax return.

Just want to be sure, does tax threshold mean if you earn that amount or earn below the tax threshold amount, you don't have to pay tax?

Below that amount and you don't have to pay tax - R67 111

Oh, just another quick question: not needing to submit a tax return if you earn less than R250000, did you mean earning less than R250000 in total per year, right?

Yes, from one employer only with no extras!
