Am I required to file an annual tax return if my employer pays monthly tax on my behalf to SARS?

I have recently started working and I have learnt that my company pays the tax owed by me on a monthly basis.

Due to them paying tax on my behalf am I still required to submit an annual income tax return?

Yes, they only pay over the tax on the salary earned, but there could be other income earned by you or other deductions which you could claim which would either increase or reduce the taxes owed to SARS.
