After retirement did consulting work then started working again

After retirement I was paid as a consultant and started working again in Oct 2014. Do I have to declare the consulting fees I received before I started working again in Oct 2013?

Yes, if you earned income then you need to declare it to SARS and pay the taxes that you may owe.
